A Rife machine is a device that helps to deliver a very low energy electromagnetic frequency into the body that is similar to radio waves. History of the Rife machine:

The Rife machine was invented by Royal Raymond Rife, an American scientist in the 1920s. The Rife machine is also called a Rife frequency generator. This device was invented nearly a century ago. The Rife machine and other similar types of machines produce low energy waves. These waves are also called radiofrequency electromagnetic fields. They have low energy compared to radiotherapy or x-rays which have high energy. The low energy waves are used as less common for treatments, even though there is some research on it.

Albert Abrams, another scientist who believed diseases give off electromagnetic frequencies, based on that Rife made his ideas on the work to invent this device. Rife thought that bacteria are responsible for many diseases and he created a microscope to see them. He claimed that the Rife frequency generator can spot and get rid of cancer cells by tuning into the electrical impulses.

How does a Rife machine work?

This device can be used for a few minutes a day several times a week. The electrical pads are attached to the device that produces low-energy electrical impulses and can put on your feet or hands. The electrical fields from outside can be responded to by the cells that have charged molecules. What does the evidence say?

These experiments carried out by the researchers are done on test tubes in labs and not on animals or humans. The results of the experiment on humans or animals are not the same as in test tubes. 

In a 2013 review, it is stated that there is no scientific evidence that shows the Rife machine or any other similar machine can treat cancer. The recent research does state that electromagnetic frequency may have a place in the treatment of cancer. But, the frequencies are different from the frequencies that the Rife machine emits. 

As per the 2016 review, the authors looked at studies into the use of electromagnetic frequency for cancer treatment. They stated that in some animal studies specific frequencies can block some new cancer cells from forming and also inhibit tumour growth. It is also stated that specific frequencies may boost and modulate the natural ability of the immune system to fight off cancerous cells and get rid of them. 

Using this technology, the authors may find only two studies and they have concluded that these studies suggest that electromagnetic frequency therapy is safe and the results are also promising. However, further research is needed to be carried out by scientists to support these findings. It is also important to note down that the electromagnetic frequencies used in these studies are not the same as the Rife machine emits.   

Risks and considerations:

It is proved that the Rife machines or any other similar electromagnetic frequency devices are not likely to cause any long-term risks. The machine emits an electromagnetic frequency that is very weak and sometimes not even penetrates the skin. It is also recommended that people must consider the quality of the machine. There is no regulation or standard for Rife machines and this means that the construction and quality of these machines can vary considerably.

The delaying of medical treatment can lead to cancer cells spreading to the other parts of the body and makes it more challenging for the doctors to treat.
